Is there a way of getting rid of the smart update upgrade offer? Having lost confidence in 144 I am wafting for a new version ending the smart update problem befor trying a new one again, I don't want to keep having to get rid of a popup wanting to put it back again.

Try Setup, Advanced, Check Do not show messages from PC Tools

Thanks will try. but there isn't a setting to select/unsect intelliGuard tools disply popup... and scann to detect... and Inteliguared to detec... only

In v 440 it is in the Main Page, Settings, Advanced. I thought there was a similar setting in v 386. I do not think that it is in the intelliguard settings in v 386.

No its not on the fully working one! I will just have to ensure anyone else using the PC's do not upgrade when it come back (unless PC Tools get theb Smartupdate problem fixed!)

For the update issue, we've tried all different scenario's on SDv6.0.1.440 but couldn't recreate the hangs. I also, checked with the support team and we haven't had any further reports on this.

This is a sticky to help out those that have 3rd party apps that are blocking SD's update from working, which is not a direct fault in SD's update and the instructions will help those that have other Firewalls or Antivirus (3rd party) programs that block SD's update.exe and instructions on how to overcome this problem. If there was a direct problem with SU like a server issue for example, everyone would be posting the problem as this would be a widespread problem.
