I have 37 pages of security updates for a Windows XP Professional machine registry and these updates "MUST" be applied or the machine will be dropped from the network.

I have been going through a list and working my way through the registry tree to find each one and update or add the entry. this is a tedious process and I'm sure this can be scripted.

do anyone know how to script these updates and if so, might you have a sample or a how to website that I could use to get started?

any assistance you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Export all the changes to a *.REG file and then merge the file into the registry with a double click... Or, if you know the key, the type of values and the values themseleves, you can use the REG (http://www.ss64.com/nt/reg.html) command in a batch file...

As far as I know, there are only 2 updates KB articles that need to be installed before you install service pack ..
Try:

http://www.majorgeeks.com for a complete rollup package, such as this:
