This looks like a fabulous program for cleaning up any computer's' start up and making it faster, more efficient and safer.

Are there plans to add filters or other screening software to make start up faster, easier etc. clean up the JUNK that starts every day?

I noticed THREE entries on first glance for .net framework to start. Do I REALLY need THREE! Am I missing something? Couldn't I disable 2 of them? Is the a way to automate LOOKING for such duplicity.

I'd love to see several "buttons" or "options" for Profiles such as exist in Registry Mechanic in tuning services..........."Minimal" , "Full", "Bare Bones" etc.'''

**Would I be safe in slogging through all the start up items and removing duplicates myself?**

I'm not a guru but, i DO like a CLEAN system! THANKS for any feedback!

**Would I be safe in slogging through all the start up items and removing duplicates myself?** You have to be very careful. Check to make sure that filenames are truly the same. Even if they are the same, they may be required.

Startup Explorer is a very in depth tool and must be used cautiously. I might suggest starting with something simpler and safer to get started understanding startups. CCleaner is a good tools that is safer for people getting started with analyzing startup programs as it does not go as deep into the system. Using this tool, you can almost disable everything it presents without causing harm to your system.

A rule of thumb is, if you do not know what the startup is, do not disable it.

Google it to learn what it is and what it does, then you can decide if you need it or not.

This is still a manual process.

OK. I completely understand. I use CCleaner currently.
