I have 256mb ram and 2.5GH processor. My question is ... Is Spyware doctor too heavy for my system? I dont want to slowdonw my pc.

256 MB of ram is light regardless of SD or not. You will be using a lot of virtual memory which is very slow.

Prices of memory are low and it is very easy to upgrade. I suggest that you get at have at least 512MB total, 1 GB is nice.

If you have Vista, then you need at least 1GB, 2GB is nice.

You processor is plenty good.
