I thought I had solved the multiple error problems.

On my PC, there were two instances of Microsoft's 2005 runtimes. So I removed them and immediately installed the 2008 runtimes. Worked OK for about a week, then began getting error messages again

I noticed the the two files that I downloaded with the latest update were the exact same version I had in the C:\windows\system32 directory.

With these two new files residing in the PCTools directory, will that make a difference in the program, seeing I already have those files?

By the way, do you know if Patrick O'Brien is still the USA manager.

If so, do you happen to have a phone number?

Thank you,

Jim

Hi Jim,

PCTAV will look for the MSVC runtime in the PCTAV directory first. If they're missing then it will use the one in the system directory.

Regarding Patrick, I'll have to get back to you on this one :) If I am able to get the number, I'll send it to you via PM.

Thanks Anthony,

I appreciate it.

By the way, I remember Achen from when I used to work for PCTools technical support.

Unfortunately, they let me go when they moved all support to the Melbourne office, but being in the USA i wasn't invited:(

Also, PCTools anti-virus is running very well in Windows7 preview.
