Hi Dreamsreseller
That kind of behaviour is usually hardware-related, i would first uninstall any drivers for the sound card then close down the PC and remove the sound card then reinstall it, if you still have a problem (Vista keeps restarting) i would ask for a replacement for the sound card. Also see if this problem happens with the sound card out.
And do follow ESD procedure

I had the same problem after installing Print Shop 22 i was never able to shut down my computer with out a hard shut down. I had to do a "factroy reinstall" after the problem got so bad i could not even use the computer any more. This was the genusis of the problem i am having in my first thread. I would always get a messeage at shut down that CCC.exe was still running this is the .exe for my video card from radion i did several virus checks to make sure it was not the virus ccc.exe.

Reboots instead of properly shutting down usually is caused by flaky hardware drivers -- usually video and sound drivers. Check for updates for your video and sound drivers. Personally, I prefer to use the latest drivers straight from the hardware or chipset vendor, even if these drivers haven't been Microsoft certified, since usually these latest drivers will resolve any issues. Some older software insists on installing drivers in system.ini. On Win98 through XP Windows systems, check for any drivers installed by software under the 386Enh or driver32 sections of system.ini. If you find a driver in system.ini which was installed by a particular program, comment out that line by placing a semicolon at the beginning of the line. Then save it and reboot. Expect to have the same reboot problem after this first reboot, but hopefully the reboot problem will go away after another reboot.
