hi there I'm tired of avast and there problems with major falls positives of some of my products. what would be the advantages of switching to pc tools AV would i loos security or would i gain some. i also have pc tool threatfire. thanks all.

Well, have you contacted ALWIL in any way regarding false positives? Just complaining and not telling it to anyone won't help at all.

When I had a few FPs recently, I submitted them and in the next update, it was already solved.

oh you can close these there old and i no longer use this product. actualy thinking of switching to spyware doctor and AV

I believe SD w AV to be a very good product and have used it for some time now.
I do have Avira AV installed as a backup stand alone scanner which I use every month or so just for a double check. So far Avira has not found anything that SD w AV didn't. If you use Avira as I do, make sure that you disable the onguard protection so that is does not conflict with SD w AV.
And as a final note, when you do Avira updates it presents an annoying pop up promoting you to upgrade to pro. Simply close it.

I would uncheck the guard during custom install rather than disabling.
