I spent $30 on Spyware Doctor specifically to clean up a Virtumonde/Vundo infection on my PC.
So far, all attempts have failed. Spyware Doctor detects it, says it's been deleted, but when I reboot I get the infection all over again.
What's the deal?
If this program was a real doctor, I'd be crying malpractice :)
Why this is happening because Spyware Doctor is deleting the Virtumonde/Vundo and it comes back when you reconnect the internet or it is bundled with the software and the software redownload the the threat. Also Virtumonde/Vundo is very had to remove. If you reboot again and the threat comes back something must be downloading the threat back again and Spyware Doctor will keep finding the threat. SD is a good antispyware and it a good security software with no problems with some computers
Hope it helps

Virtumondo/Vundo may be naughty as it changes up to several times a day.
Some basic rules, off with the net when booting, scan from safe mode including archives. Personally I even prefer to turn off System restore.
You might have to try Vundofix, Superantispyware (SAS) or similar to get rid of it.
There are no 'anti' programs that manage all types of problems, but I find SD/PCTIS in general as one of the most complete ones for protection. However for complete cleaning, other tools might be needed, That goes for every 'anti' programs on the market today.
I agree Vundofix will remove the threat. Download Vundofix here (http://vundofix.atribune.org/) VundoFix does not not contain any threats and a trusted security software
Hope it helps
