IRC Bot/Virus

Rogers is telling me I have this virus (again). Spyware Doctor with A/V is my security system. Do you think I need to change to another program?

I do not think so. If you check the other user forums, there are always issues. I personally run SD/AV with Behavior Guard.

What I suggest is to have 2 backup standalone scanners and occassinally scan with those or if you have a stubborn piece of malware to remove.

Malyarebytes antimalware... great for spyware.

Avira anti-virus... great for viruses. Note, for Avira you will need to disable the onguard function and remove Avira from your start up. Not good to have 2 live anti-virus programs running at the same time.

Both are free and very effective to backup SD/AV

You shouldn't change your security program. Spyware Doctor is a very good antispyware. Malyarebytes antimalware is good as Spyware Doctor does not slow down your computer. Spyware Doctor is simple and effective. Some other security program are hard to use and not effective to find threats. If Spyware Doctor find a threat you should remove it. If you unsure if it a FP or not you are welcome to post any problem that you are unsure of.
