Hi!
I have put in a memory stick and scanned it. The results are "congratulations no virus found" .....however..... in the results there are 3 infections ignored.
What is that supposed to mean?
Help!

For more info on ignored infections, check out http://www.pctools.com/forum/showpost.php?p=194176&postcount=2.
download again Spyware Doctor and scan it again and see if it happens again. If it doesn't work. Follow AChen Advise. http://www.pctools.com/forum/showpost.php?p=194176&postcount=2
Hope it helps

This question comes up often. And for a long period of time.
That's because it is nonsense _not_ to tell customers about "infections".
So ... when are the developers going to tell us this information, achen?
This isn't hard to do since, by definition, they already know what it is and where it is.
All they have to do is display it.

That link says:
1. "harmless cookies"
Not on my computers. I use a) a cookie blocker AND b) I run ccleaner _before_ running SDwAV.
2. "cannot remove the threat now, a reboot needed"
Not on my computers. Reboot and scan gets the same msg.
3. "items in your GAL"
Not on my computers. I only have a very small number of items in the GAL (3-4) and I get 18-25 "ignored infections".
Any more guesses, anyone?

Ohso:
I do not know which browser You are using, but do a 'test' with Firefox.
Set it to 'delete all' when closing.
Turn off Your system restore.
If You are familiar with CCleaner, hook of all and do a major clean. Check that even IE is included in the clean.
Do a full system scan.
I have been running PCTIS and SD for some time, hardly ever have any problems with 'ignored infections'. I have tested some cookie cleaner/blockers, but find the normal setting options in FF more efficient. Note that if You tick 'remember' in FF when logging in to any site, You create a 'cookie' that is normally not blocked by the cookie blocker, and might be detected during a scan, but will be removed if 'remove all' is ticked in FF when closing.
