Spyware Doctor update problem

I installed Spyware Doctor (downloaded from pctools.com site) after it's installed it auto updates but gets error connecting to server, then doesn't open as its not updated..

Open SD and then manually run the Smart Update feature. If updating fails the first time, wait a few seconds and run Smart Update again. The issue seems to be an incorrect DNS entry for pctools.com in one of the backbone provider DNS servers. This problem occurs on other web sites which use Sprint as the backbone provider, although I haven't checked to see what backbone provider is used by pctools.com.

Can't manually update when i open the file nothing happens and it just shows the timer thing as its doing something but no new processes open and it goes back to normal cursor..

Just as a sanity check, download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware free version, run a scan, and make sure that a malware program isn't stopping SD from updating. That is all I can think of at the moment...

Thanks - it was the IAM thing.
