Win Xp + Vista

I am planning to go for a new desk top to replace my old one. Can I adopt dual operating system. Loading XP in C drive and Vista in D drive. My old pC had Win 98 in C drive and XP in D drive.

Generally the older OS is installed on C: first followed by the newer OS on another HDD or partition.
