As the title says.

No idea?
I guess you got no idea, otherwise you would answer.

I'm guessing that you couldn't care less if there will be or not a new version.

Great support indeed.

A simple: Yes or No would be sufficient, but I guess you prefer not to "say" (write) nothing at all. Maybe forgot even how to do it? There is always time to relearn things...

Hi Guys,

At this stage there is no new versions of ThreatExpert Memory scanner. This has been integrated into PCTAV and more signatures will be added.

Hi Guys,

At this stage there is no new versions of ThreatExpert Memory scanner. This has been integrated into PCTAV and more signatures will be added.

Thanks for the info.

So that means that if one still wants an updated version of Memory Scanner, then one has to use PCTAV.

What if a user wishes to use just the Memory Scanner and not PCTAV?

It is quite surprising the amount of security vendors that began and begin to assemble their security apps as a bundle and kill them as stand alone versions. I, personally, like to use separate tools for each purpose. I'm not a bundle guy.

I really like Memory Scanner, but since I won't be able to use an updated version of it, unless I use PCTAV, which I don't need, as I have other tools for that, then I guess I'll have to ditch it.

I hope you guys decide for a stand alone version as well! I truly wish.

Best regards

I guess PCTools no longer plans to keep the stand-alone version. It's a shame to see it happen. More and more other companies do the same. A lot people enjoy using different tools for different purposes.

Anyway... It was great while it lasted, and Memory Scanner, in my opinion, had a great future ahead of it, and if also providing real-time protection, even better. I guess we can't get it all.

Its a shame to see Memory Scanner ceasing to exist as a standalone tool. I believe it had all the potential to keep evolving, and specially to be an always-on scanner.

Could PC Tools reconsider? (It may be a long shot, but, well, I don't lose nothing to ask. :) )

I'm sorry to dash your hopes, but at this stage Memory Scanner will continue to be included as part of the AntiVirus program, and not as a standalone.
