Hi there,

I recently installed PCTools AV.......so far so good.....BUT
PCTAV discovered some false positives and put them in quarantine.
I would like to recover some of these files.

Normally this should be done through the special "recover quarantined files" menu.........but there are no quarantined files listed (although I can see them in the designated quarantine map)
Is there any way to recover these quarantined files? (perhaps manually?)
I tried to rename them to their original filename which doesn't work.....HELP!

tnx in advance!

Hi, Pauloos

To restore quarantine files, all you need to do is go to the Status screen-> Click on "Restore Infections from Quarantine" (below in the screen) -> tick the checkbox for the quarantined files you wish to restore-> Restore.

What is the size of the Quarantine folder? Is it possible to send us the Quarantine folder so we can assist you further?

This is where the Quarantine folder should be located:
Vista - C:\ProgramData\PC Tools\ PC Tools AntiVirus\Quarantine
XP - Documents and Settings\All Useres\Application Data\PC Tools\PC Tools AntiVirus\Quarantine

If the file is not to large and you don't mind sending it, you can send it to my email address. Otherwise you may need to upload it. Please let me know :)
