"COM Surrogate has stopped working" Problem

I get the message: "COM Surrogate has stopped working" all the time when i open a folder contains DivX or avi files that work with DivX Player. Vista will start collecting error-reports and i have to "Disk Cleanup" to clear them ALL the time. Once, these error reports reached a size of 1GB !!!!

Could someone please help me with this really annoying problem and make Vista work along with DivX?

Is the DivX player you are using compatible with Vista? I suggest you visit their website and check for the latest version?

Hi Matt,
I visited DivX site the updated my player to the latest version. I still get the "COM" error :(
Do u have other solutions?
