View Full Version : Spyware Doctor 5.0?
I just installed version 4.0 for a trial. If my trial continues to run like this, I will buy it. However, if version 5.0 comes out in my one year license period, will I be able to upgrade for free?
I have heard that V5.0 will be a significant improvement (on an already top notch product).

Hi ejr,
The purchase of Spyware Doctor or any other PC Tools products comes with a 12 months subscription which includes free software upgrades, Smart Updates and full technical support during this period.

I have also heard that Spyware Doctor 5.0 will be a great product, much more enhanced and faster then version 4.0.
Looking forward to downloading this.
Keep up the good work guys!! :)

I would love to see a HIPS function added to SD. Also termination protection.
In any case, with free updates for a year, my decision is easy.

I had understood v 5 was to be released on 29th Jan. Is it out? Why has my current update still showing v4?
Looking forward to receiving v5 as many improvements have been promised on what I consider to be one of the best already. ( I'm thinking for example of the loading speed and initial splash screen for example). I do however like the relatively small regular update cycle as against some other suites I have used which can be huge.

It's in a public beta that as released on the 29th. But there are many bugs to work out. Best to wait until it is out of beta.

Thanks Ejr:
After reading many of the comments about SD 5 I am inclined to agree. I really like the program and so far (!) also quite like the FW+ standalone product - after using ZA, and then Agnitum Outopost FW for many years.
