My Computer had a small failure about 3+ months ago, and I had never been able to boot it back up since!. So I bought another Hard Drive from Western Digital. I can only boot from floppy, but with the floppy software, I can't install anything on the Hard Drive, and can't boot from Hard Drive.
So I wanted to try to boot from the CD-ROM, and load the system disk on the Hard Drive, but I can't seem to find where to boot from CD-ROM?
Will except any help.

If you install a new hard drive you need to run fdisk and then format these Dos programs are on the win98 startupdisks ,by the way to boot from cd-rom this option needs to be enabled in the bios and then you need a bootable cd to boot from

If your telling me to run fdisk in Dos, then there no use to telling me it.
I have tried to do it and It will not work.
The computer is a pain, I can only use simple commands like dir, cd\,and other basic commands.
I can't use commands like,
fdisk,mem,mem/f,copy,mkdir,deltree, and more.
I know what you are saying now,
"Good-God he really screwed this computer!"
Let me know if there is still any possible way of getting it fix.

Forcing the computer to boot from the CD-ROM is set in the BIOS. How to get in there will depend on your computer or motherboard manufacturer. I can't recall whether the Windows 95 CD-ROM has a boot loader on it, which means even if you change the BIOS the CD-ROM disc may not be bootable.
From what you are saying though it sound like you need a boot disk with the basic tools on it. If you have access to another PC create a new boot disk with all the necessary utilities. Even once you boot the Windows 95 CD-ROM you will still need fdisk to partition the drive, Win95 does not partition or load onto an unpartitioned drive.
