Hi everyone,
The next version of iAntiVirus is currently in internal beta.
More info here (http://blog.iantivirus.com/).
In the meantime, we'd appreciate if you could reply to this post with any feature requests or suggestions of what you'd like to see in future versions.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
iAntiVirus seems a very good product, congratulations. I liked it a lot.
I would like to make some suggestions and questions:
01. which are the advantages of iAntiVirus x ClamXav?
02. take a look at macscan.securemac.com, they have a lot of signatures that are not covered by iAntiVirus.
Best regards,
Aureo

My humble opinion on those 2 programs mentioned:
ClamXAV is kind of slow, and it's looking for Win viruses too.
MacScan doesn't look for viruses and from the reviews I've seen; lets just say "it's not well liked".
I like PCTools idea of just checking for Mac viruses. Just installed IAntivirus today and so far so good.
I'd like the ability to remove the Dock Icon (as I've seen stated in other posts). Maybe the notifications could be tied into the tray icon?
Give me more time and maybe I can suggest a few things.

A PPC version would be nice.

Hi Aureo,
I would be great if you could add the ability to either completely hide the menu bar icon or restrict all access via a password. I have been looking at purchasing your product for our internet terminals but I spend a lot of time making sure these profiles are locked down and I can't have people being able to disable iAV or being able to change the settings.
Congratulations on a top product so far.
Thanks.

Like to see it keep tabs on any kind of malware or viruses that may go into memory and reside there to do damage.

I'll vote for checking for PC malware, as well. However, why not let it be a preference? Those who aren't worried about PC threats and never send nor receive files from PC folks can just turn off the checkbox; those who live in a cross-platform world would leave it on. Best of both worlds.
I realize this puts an added burden on pcTools to release definitions updates more often but, as they're already doing this for their PC products, perhaps it's not as big an issue as I fear.
Thanks for a very nice (and fast) product.

I think I've mentioned it before, but I would like iAntivirus to run also in Guest-accounts. Now when someone logs into my Guestaccount, he would be able to catch a virus that, maybe, would be able to destroy my Mac. It's not that I'm so affraid of viruses that would be able to destroy my Mac, but I would like iAntivirus to be able to prevent this.:D
A clock for when you want your scan to start would be nice instead of daily, weekly etc. And if it could wake the computer to run if its in sleep mode.
