How much does Spyware Doctor (without AV) cost?

On the purchase page it says £29.95 GBP but on the FAQ it says USD $29.95.

I sent in a contact us email about 5 days ago and still no reply, so i'll ask on here :)

Scottech,

Both prices are correct. Our prices in different currencies are fixed, not depend on exchange rate. You can choose to pay with USD or GBP.

I had a similar problem. Went to renew, and they were charging 60 Euros for 2 license renewals - cant change the currency either. That's NZ$125 in my currency or I can just buy 2 new licenses for US$59.90 which is NZ$88.
That's a fairly large difference. Also sent an email to them, which was met with a deafening silence :)
No way I'm paying that much extra, I was born at night, but not last night.

This has been a major bone of contention with me ever since I started using PCTools products.
There is a huge difference between 36 euro (approx.) which is 29.95 plus 19% VAT/GST whatever, and $29.95.
And as far as I have been able to find out, there is no way to 'choose' your currency - at least I've never been able to find it. And of course that would be logical as the company would prefer you to pay $51 (at today's exchange rate) rather than $29.95.
The products and the forum are excellent, but the subscription and renewal policies are terrible.

The only thing it creates (other than profit) is dissatisfaction.:) :)

So can anyone advise which is the best currency to buy in? I have bought in US$ in the past, never considered euros or NZ$ - and certainly would never consider paying in my native £. Sounds like a great deal of work to check the cheapest way of paying, but it also seems like BIG savings can be made. Come on PC Tools, don't do this to your loyal customers!! Do us a favour and sort things out!!

I didn't think of looking for other currancys and paid £ and stoped the auto renewal as a result. With the take over and the greedy chargs for UK customers I will be looking for a new product next year unless things get better!

You can buy Spyware Doctor from other websites other than PC Tools - and these often offer a range of currencies. Find them by googling Spyware Doctor.
