You know in NT when you type a word in a text box in Internet Explorer the word is stored, so that next time you can just click the text box and it will show the complete list of all the words you have typed.
Is there any way to remove a specific, or even all the items from this list, as the other day I accidentally typed my password into a normal text field (stupid I know!) and now it is stored there. And I dont want other people knowing that do I!
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

In W2K I found the details in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Explorer Bars\{C4EE31F3-4768-11D2-BE5C-00A0C9A83DA1}\FilesNamedMRU
On my machine I deleted the required entries in here and they no longer appear when you type a search.
In NT you may want to try running RegEdit and searching for your password. If you find it in a similar key then just delete the value.

to move to a choice in the mentioned list you can also use thr cursor up / down keys (not only click onto an entry with the mouse). When you have highlighted the entry (your passwaor), use the DEL key - this should remove the item from the list.

You can also remove all the values stored for all the text-boxes in IE.
Take the IE properties i.e.(IE,right-click properties) go to the
Content tab
Auto-complete
clear forms
Clicking this will clear all the values stored for text fields in forms.
Hope it helps. Bye!
