I'm not taking my words back :)
Zero crashes so far
I believe people should submit their combinations of SD with other security apps that are running strong and stable , in a sticky thread.
If frequently updated,it will be a viable resource of proven "from the field" configurations,so people can plan and adjust.
We all hear allot of complaints,so instead of updating a seemingly endless list of incompatible combinations , lets start a list of compatible ones , that hopefully will grow with future versions.
This move must be promoted by PC tools tech support , doing much of the testing themselves IMHO

People who are leaving PC Tools just because Symantec bought them out is stupid. Until the product(s) you use go bad you should continue using them and ignore the fact that Symantec bought PC Tools. I don't think PC Tools products will be affected, but I suppose only time will tell.
I will admit version 5 had issues for quite a while, but it seems most people using version 6 say it is rock solid.

So 'solid' that in the combined suite PCTIS everything is next to dead!
(My lap top is unusable when running PCTIS).
Slowliness and delays like not experienced since release of V5.
I'm afraid that the slow response in correcting serious 'problems' like the FF3, USB auto-scan, delays etc has scared off too many of the 'old' ones.
And how many of the new ones manage to find the board hidden out in the 'backyard' under Company? I would guess those with problems or comments would search under 'support'?

I would not say stupid to anyone who has experienced Symantec. I might say wary or smart.

We're talking about Spyware doctor , not PCTIS.
For a security suite,I wouldn't trust anything else than Kaspersky,Zone Alarm+Kaspersky AV engine, and yes Symantec(beta testers saying 2009 version is lite and strong like no other before it)
What made you even consider PCTIS as a security suite ,little masochist you :)

With all the conflicts running around when mixing Av,AS,FF +++the hope was to get a more 'compatible' system working without conflicts.
The PCTIS contains SD, AV, TF (Behavior Guard) and being from the same company one should expect them to live a peaceful life.
Everyone more or less runs suits. Only difference is that quite some people build their own with components from different vendors. Honestly I do not feel too sorry for those running into conflicts with elements from here and there. They are self inflicted! But when all individual components comes from same vendor and put together by the same vendor, I would expect a little less of conflicts and disturbances.

SD and Threat Fire is huge , but I would never let their firewall even come close to my computer.
Currently I use KIS 7 with SD,can't be happier with this combo.
I'll probably stick to Kaspersky for years to come for security suite, they're really putting allot of efforts to develop next-level protection each year, just hoping SD development will continue at current levels.
Look at the latest tests and reviews,Kaspersky and Spyware Doctor are always at the top.
