Updates?

Good morning all,

For the last four, or even possibly five days now, I have not received any manner of updates from Spyware Doctor. Even when I click on “live update”, I receive the message that my system is “up-to-date.” Am I missing something, or have there been no new updates? :)

If yours is not that, something may be amiss.

Latest PV is 6.0.0.362,

my system status says it is current, but isn't version 6 the most current? how do i upgrade it?

Geopla, check database version on the GUI as haapy has mentioned and see if it displays 5.10560.

sksk411, the latest version of Spyware Doctor is v6.0.0.362. For more info on the latest version, check out: http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52834

You may simply install the latest version over the currently version, however, we advise users to first uninstall before reinstalling new versions.

FYI: Version 5.5.1.322 will display the "e" whereas version 6.0.0.354 will not (both use the same database).

does that mean the two are essentially the same thing?

Hi Achen,

I don’t mind installing the latest version of SD, but just out of curiosity, what is happening? As you can see from my screen-shot, SD is functioning normally, but I keep getting informed that my database is up-to-date. Any clues? :confused:

I checked and the updates have stopped for SDv5.1.0.273.
In order to resolve this issue, please upgrade to the latest version, which is SD v6.0.0.632 - http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52834.

Just out of curiosity, what version did you install previously? and was it the Google pack SD or the trial version SD?

Hi AChen,

I have had SD for so long now, I don’t really remember. But, being that I am not a Google toolbar fan, I must assume I started off with the standard trial version.

The update to the new version of SD went well, so all is good. :)
