Link to version 4.1 Please

Please rescue me from the clutches of this newest version of spywaredoctor version 6.362 or whatever it is. My computer is useless now.
I had version 4.1 and it was working great. Not playing your games of find out what it is. It doesn't work. simple. I want my other version please!

Thank you Hyatt for your help, I really appreciate it. I am able to use my computer as before and even while I am scanning. Seemed like everything was just a mess with the version 6. crashes,and etc. I'm hoping someday they will finally get a new version so a non computer expert can use it the way it should be used.

Really have to disagree on this one.
Version 5/5.5 was real mess , no doubt.

But version 6 is rock solid on STABLE installation of WIN XP PRO SP3 , with select few other AV programs running with it.
What you have is probably a messed up OS ,bloated with incompatible security apps,registry traces from ages ago etc. etc.

My advice to you , remove all security apps , all questionable apps , run ccleaner , reinstall Spyware Doctor 6.
Better yet , reinstall Windows.
What FireWall and AV are you using ?

I hate to tell you this but it had been reformatted and I run Avast, comodo, spyware doctor. I don't nor have I ever had any problems with my computer until I put this new version 6 in. Everything has been compatible up until this.
I have xp home version. Don't know what the problem was but I am up and running great again without version 6 in. I went back to a former version of spyware doctor and am doing great now. I know enough not to run too many programs of the same thing. Have never had anything but Avast and spyware doctor I also had spysweeper a long time ago but have like I said since that program, had a reformat done by a computer store.
Just never had had any problems with this computer. Maybe I was just lucky.

im glad you got 4.1 runnin good but like xlebywek said i believe 6 is a big improvement,but different programs run different on other computers.i got sd with av and bg runnin great using vista home premium,rose im sure someone else will come along and give you some advice on getting 6 to run properly if you want if not stick with 4.1.

I believe some proactive modules in Comodo or/and Avast messing things up for you.
You gave up to soon I think.
Try to reinstall SD 6 and selectively unload running modules from both apps.

I'm using Kaspersky KIS 7 with everything on with SD+AV 6 , not a single BSOD or any system slowdown even once.
Also I run ccleaner once a week.
So it can be stable , the question is will you make it stable(if it's worth it for you).

Rose, what are the specifications of your computer? CPU speed, RAM (memory), and is it a DELL brand? Chances are your computer is too slow to handle Spyware Doctor version 6.

I would not call it rock solid more an working improvement., Lot's of work to be done before SD can be consider working.

It is rock solid , but only when isn't messed up by messy OS or other security apps.
Version 5/5.5 was messed up no matter what.
Sure they have to make it more friendly to other programs

That is a stupid statement xlebyweb... which OS do you use? I use NOD 32 for AV.

As I said before SD is a program that is striving to work correctly.
