Hi Folk

Maybe i'm asking for someting impossible here, be here goes. I am using W2K Professional and have 8 partitions of varying size up to 10gig on some. I have a multi boot system on W2K, W98 and Linux. Considering the restraints of DOS with partition sizes, is there any way in dos and Win98 ( when booting to 98 ) in stopping the drive letters changing?

You can go to http://www.bigfoot.com/~vadbrtn for an EXCELLENT prog. to reassign drive letters in 98, but it won't work in 2000 & probably not in NT.

You could use one of the various boot manager, and hide the other 7 partitions when loading DOS or Win98. Unfortunately dealing with that many partitions and legacy OS's based on DOS can be pretty problematic.
