launch programms automatically

i know that you can launch programms automatically when windows starts but if you do this you will lose many resources!!
is there no way to start other programms i.e. when starting netscape or on dialing up?
it would be very practical if my proxy programm, downloadmanager or firewall started automatically when dialing up(and also exit automatically when going offline or turn off netscape)!!

and another really annoying thing is, that my netscape601 always starts in window-mode and not in full screen!
i found a post when s.o. had the same problem with internet explorer but the solution to this problem didn't work for netscape!

have you ever thought of writing a .BAT file - or using scripting, then hide this behind a shortcur icon ?

easy part first:
Scripting is the "modern" form of a .BAT file.
Look at the left border of this page and click the Scripting Guide link, you will be re-directed to an introduction. Look also at the other Scripting stuff at this site.

.BAT file:
