Question about UAC and Admin mode

Hey,

I'm a brand new Vista user (1 day old) and was wondering about these UAC prompts.

I heard if I run my PC in Admin mode I won't get as many popping up all the time just wondering on how true this was. Also, is there anyway to help reduce it without totally disabling it?

I'm getting a wired router and planning on using avast! antivirus software along with one or two more programs, including Lavasoft Adware so just wondering if those will keep me relatively safe while not using UAC.

I'm very new so if I got some of my facts wrong please correct me. Thanks

I am not entirely sure, but I do use more than one antivirus program (periodically for on demand scans). However, I would not recommend using multiple antivirus programs actively monitoring your system simultaneously, because you will get the blue screen of death, they greatly conflict with each other. Nonetheless, UAC is annoying and there will be fixes in Windows 7 to lighten the amount of pop-ups especially if you are an administrator.
