Regarding the "Repair" function, (v 1.0.0.31, WinXP Pro with all the updates)
1) the drives listed in the "Select a dirve" should allow me to sort on the drive letter. I don't know the drives as Physical Disk X where X is the drive number.
2) Also I noticed that this list does not list all of my drives. When I look at Disk management in Computer management I see 11 drives but in the disk suite I only see 10 drives (0 through 9)
3) Also the window is too darn small and I cannot resize it so I can see all of the drives
4) When the window (Select drives) is first displayed I must scroll right and left to see the data. I can resize the main window to see the full line but by default the full window (left and right) should be displayed. Then if the user does not like it he can resize to smaller size but it would be nice to be shown that there is more data to be seen rather than letting the user discover it by accident.
5) in the summary area I don't see any info for my RAID arrays (I have two on this system) Also in the select a drive window no info is displayed for my RAID arrays. In Computer Management > Disk Manager I do see the info thus I expect the disk suite to display the info.
6) in the summary area I don't see any info for any of my USB drives. Also in the select a drive window no info is displayed for my USB drives. In Computer Management > Disk Manager I do see the info thus I expect the disk suite to display the info.

I had planned to test several rives on this system but because I cannot see the USB drive I wanted to use I cannot move forward.

Any word on when Disk Suite will be officially released? Or is there going to be more BETA's?

I think maybe you guys should make to partition table modification page more user friendly. I work with Norton Partition Magic and I think it is a lot easier to understand then the disk suite version. I still think it is an excellent product though. :D

Please consider incorporating "Deleted file recovery" I really need this function.
Make it simple and easy please. :)

Can PC Tools Disk Suite have the same GUI as Registry Mechanic. On the defrag page can you put information on what the red square mean and blue square mean and others square means. Add more detailed information to each tools. This will make people understand more about each tools. AChen please add those suggestions/improvements. While cleaning it was slow. Please speedup it.

I would like to use Disk Suite to do a backup of my system partion, and then restore that after reformatting. My apologies if this is already possible, but I can't see that it is at the moment.

It doesn't seem that there is a "rescue disk" function with the Disk Suite, either.

A couple more suggestions:

I'd like to be able to schedule one task, but have it apply to all the drives I select. Currently you have to make one task per drive you want to defrag, for instance.

Schedule summary page: I think it should say which task you have selected to run, and which drive(s) it applies to. It is of course possible to give the task a name that indicates this, but a better solution is to display the selections that are made.

It would be nice to see progress when a scheduled defrag is running. Currently the only way to see that a scheduled defrag is running is via the "History" section.

And last, some nitpicking: If you choose to schedule a "Consolidate Free Space" task from the "Defrag" section, it is called "Consolidate free space" by default. However, if you go to the "Schedule" section and "Add new task..." --> "Consolidate Free Space", the task name suggestion is "Defrag". It would look better if it said "Consolidate free space" here as well for consictency. As I said, nitpicking :-)

For troubleshooting purpose, the Disk Suite should have an option to export History & Report as text files/PDF/RTF/HTML, or at least able to copied to the clipboard.
