Hi,

iAntivirus does not appear to start on login unless I have checked "open at login" in which case iAntivirus is shown on screen. Is it possible for iAntivirus to start whenI login without the screen display?

Hi Paul,

iAntiVirus should add itself to run at startup automatically.
Please ensure you have the latest version of iAntiVirus and also Apple software updates (from Apple menu -> Software Update...), then restart your Mac and run iAntiVirus again. On subsequent boots iAntiVirus should launch in the background automatically.

I have the same problem when logging into other user accounts on the same machine. everything is up to date.

iAntiVirus will add itself to run at login at first run under new accounts.
So after you've made your new account try running iAntiVirus from Applications -> iAntiVirus. On subsequent logins iAntiVirus will start automatically.

I would like iAntivirus to run also on Guest-accounts. When someone downloads dangerous things, I want iAntivirus to protect my Mac.

Ik would really like that.:)

I have 2 users on my mac. I am set up as administrator, my wife is not. When her userid is logged in, I cannot set 'Protect My Mac' to on. There is the iAntivirus icon on the top of the screen, so I guess something is loading. Does Protect My Mac require administrative access, or is there a problem running this on more than 1 user?

Hi angelo, is your (administrator) user account logged in and running iAntiVirus in the background when your wife logs in?

Yes, my administrator account is logged in, and iAntivirus is running in the background with 'Protect My Mac', although it is not doing an active scan.

I switch over to my wife's account while I'm still logged in. The iAntivirus icon is on the top menu bar. I can 'Show iAntivirus', and start a scan, but choosing 'Protect My Mac' doesn't turn on, and in the log, shows 'Unable to activate OnGuard!'.

Can it not protect more than one account at a time? Or is it protecting all accounts under the administrator login even though it doesn't appear to turn on under the additional accounts?

Thanks

Hi,

Did you get this problem sorted?

I have the sams issues here. Four accounts, all admin, but only the account used when installing iAV is protected.
