Is this product similar to Bootspeed?(Auslogics?)
Bootspeed have some nice features which i really would like to se simmilar ADD to ds or dm AIO
SEE:
Junke files removal
Disk Defrag
REgistry Defrag
Registry cleaner
Internet conections optimizer
Track eraser
System info
I know some of this already exists in two separate pct products(ds and dm)
But again i am talking about ONE product wich have all the above features(As i said similar to bootspeed).I dont think this should create comercial issues to pct as the people who wants only the features include in dm for example, should buy only dm (Obviouslly)
I always hope for a pct AIO tool wich have similar features to auslogics.so this is just a sugestion
Thanks vecchio

One of the tools that I like in this product is the backup/restore. I am kind of getting sick of using Norton Ghost. I do have to admit though that Norton Ghost is better than some of the other backup programs out there, but I am glad PC Tools has finally made their own. I am a huge advocate of backing up my entire hard drive every four weeks.
I have a few suggestions. First off, why is there an annoying pop up telling me to buy the product now or later? I am aware that the product is not for sale yet since it is in the BETA stage. So what is the need for the annoying pop up then? It is not a big deal or anything, but I thought I would point it out. I can understand using this when the product is released and for sale though. My next suggestion is making the optimization part of the product similar to Privacy Guardian. The optimization part of the PC Tools Disk Suite doesn't seem to have all of the cleaning items in Privacy Guardian. I am not sure if this was done on purpose, but I think it would be awesome if it was included along with a shredder option as well.
I love the Disk Defrag part of the product, but no offense I think Diskeeper Pro Premier has one key feature that is better than PC Tools Disk Suite. That one key feature is that the product runs silently in the background and only defrags when the computer is idle and not being used. I suppose the only downside is that the Diskeeper service always has to be running. So my suggestion is that there should be an option for the Defrag part of the program to constantly monitor the computer and defrag it when the computers resources are idle. This idea would be similar to the feature in Registry Mechanic that allows the user to tell Registry Mechanic to actively monitor the registry. Below is a link to the Diskeeper program I currently use in case anyone wants to reference to it.

I must say the Partition part of this Disk Suite is fantastic. I also like the Repair part of the program. Overall this is a great product. I wouldn't mind it if the Optimization part was practically identical to Privacy Guardian. I also wouldn't mind it if Registry Mechanic was added as well. From the looks of it the product will be sold for $40. I wouldn't mind paying an extra $5 to see Registry Mechanic added into the product. I am aware that PC Tools wants to keep the pricing a certain way because of the other products they offer. People won't buy just Registry Mechanic if every product is practically given away in an AIO product such as PC Tools Disk Suite. It is just an idea that is all.

Norton Ghost works great, but I don't do scheduled back-ups, because I just want to have a point to go back to when things weren't so bloated. I had to set all the Norton Services to "manual" because I don't need those services running and using resources, until I open the Ghost GUI.
I also use Diskeeper professional.
BUT, I could use a program that checks for corrupted data on the HD, better than "chkdsk". Spinrite seems like it might be a good program, but a little expensive for my tastes.

I just installed v1.0.0.25 and share some of the same comments.
I use Diskeeper Pro and really like it for the reasons already mentioned. However for the average user they may not be willing to spend the extra money that Diskeeper cost. It runs on all of my systems.
I plan to test the Repair function, I have several hard drives that are questionable. I also have Spinrite and have not used it for about 2 years. The main downside of Spinrite is that you must boot and run it from a CD. I think this ensures that windows does not get in the way. Does the function in the Disk Suite perform as good or better then Spinrite? I'm in the process of building a system just for Spinrite, it takes a LONG time to run against large drives and I'm moving from 250GB to 1TB drives. I cannot leave a windows system run for as long as it will take to completely check a 1TB drive.
Can I run the disk repair against a RAID 5 array? Currently I have two, one is a 1.5TB and the other is a 2.0TB. Later next week I'll upgrade the 1.5TB to a 3TB array.
I'd like to see the disk repair utility run in the background when the system is not being used and repair my drives. My system run 24x7. On some of my systems I run "Folding@home" would this be seen as an active system? (BTW this is a Stanford univ research uility)
