dma access

does anyone know how to enable dma access for cd/dvd roms in win2k, cause my dvd playback is crap

It would show up under ide ata/atapi controllers. If the devices are on the secondary channel, double click on the secondary ide channel, go to advanced settings and set the transfer mode to dma if available and reboot.
