Unable to install KB947562

I am unable to install KB947562 on my newly implemented Vista Ultimate. Have attempted several times, and every time I shutdown, it tries to install.

Any ideas what I need to do to get it to install? I do want it, as it provides compatibility for a lot of software. For example, Adobe Photoshop 7 is on the list, and when I try to install that, when I Dclick setup, it just disappears.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried option number 2 but not 1.

Interestingly, I got MS support on the line, and after quite a mess and time, they opened the event log, and in there it said this KB was not intended for my OS (Ultimate).

Not sure what to think.

I may try that first option on that link pointed me to.

If I succeed, I'll post back.
