Are there any plans to make a new version of AOSS?

Is there something particular that you're missing in the current version?

I've not tested it, but I suppose they've made it powerful enough to let you install their software to take care of the rest. Otherwise I guess they would upgrade it.

Hi Guys,

We will be developing a new version of AOSS. At this stage, there has been not set date, but when I do receive any info, I will be more than happy to pass this on.

For the new version it would be nice if it could smart update itself somehow :)

I think that's a good idea, even though I'd consider this a tool that you run once in order to get rid of the most dangerous pests. Tell me what you think. :)

Hi
You used to be able to update it from the Spyware Doctor database in versions 3.x or 4.x by plugging in a USB stick with the latest database. However, the whole database structure changed with version 5.x and 6.x so you can no longer do this. I believe that a newer version of AOSS would be able to use those definitions.

One thing I would like to see is the incorporation of AOSS into Spyware Doctor as a "Boot Time Scanner" to be initiated if Spyware Doctor found deeply ingrained nasties.

Now THAT sounds like a really good idea if the one already existing in SD(wAV) doesn't already do the same job once it's on your PC for those kinds of pests.
