Need to uninstall Spyware Doctor

I need to uninstall Spyware Doctor as it's running in the background and I can't stop it and it's causing all sorts of problems.

I tried uninstall in the 'add remove' in the control panel, but it won't let me
continue with the uninstall as it's running in the background. It says if I continue it will stop, but it keep running.

I cannot launch Spyware Doctor the programme, it just wont open in the normal way.

Can anyone help me please. I will re-install afterwards when I get everything back to normal. This all started after a microsoft update.

Hi Pete,

Could you please try uninstalling SD in safemode, following the instructions below:

1. Click on the Start button. The Start menu will appear.
2. Select ''Shut Down'' from the menu (''Turn off Computer'').
The 'Shut Down Windows' dialog box will appear.
3. Select ''Shut down'' (or, ''Turn Off'') and click the Yes (or OK) button.
4. When the computer starts back up, begin immediately by pressing the F8 key repeatedly until the Windows Startup menu appears with various options.
5. By using the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard, select 'Safe Mode'.
Do not select 'Safe Mode with networking' or any other modes.
6. Login to your account (if asked).
7. Wait and eventually Windows will start in Safe Mode.
8. Go to Start-> Programs-> Spyware Doctor-> Uninstall Spyware Doctor
