New problem today - SD+AV won't open but is in tray

I'm having this problem on both computers that have SD plus AV installed on them and it's a new problem today so I think an update may have caused it?

SD+AV loads to the tray fine, plus I can start a scan by right clicking on the tray icon, but I cannot open the full GUI app. Whether I double-click on the tray icon or right click and choose Open, the GUI will not open.

Again, this is a new problem today and it's on both of my PCs. Suggestions?

LOL @ mjq424... Yes, I had rebooted a boatload of times. I tried disabling firewall & ThreatFire as well with no luck.

Will the GUI open in Safe Mode?
Instructions:
Go into Safe Mode by restarting your computer, then continually tapping F8 until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.

SD+AV GUI does open when selecting it from the Start menu, but still doesn't from the tray icon. Same deal with my laptop. *stumped*

Hi gmccowboy,

Can you check if pctsGUI.exe is in c:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\?
It may be possible that this file may somehow have been removed.
