I uninstalled Spyware Doctor and am having some serious issues with my computer now. In researching error messages, I ended up here.

I cannot figure out how to post a snapshot of error message but it is saying:

error 7026, the following boot-start or system start-driver(s) failed to load:
iKfilesec
iKSysFlt
iKSysSec

I am having multiple issues and getting ready to do a full system recovery unless I can figure out how to fix this. Can you help? I also have Registry Mechanic on my computer. I have run the program but the above issues are still showing up.

Hi
What version of Spyware Doctor are you using? What version of Windows are you using? Do you have any other security programs installed?

Hello ringaround,

If you have problems with boot sector you can try the following:

1. Insert installation Windows CD or DVD, reboot, there is console to repair START UP corruption, just repair. Try, it helps usually in this case.

2. If you have not CD or DVD then run cmd (like administrator if you have Vista) and type in command line "scf/scannow" and push ENTER. This command does the same like CD, DVD. It checks integrity and tries to repair.

I had Spyware Doctor but I uninstalled it - probably newest or nearly new version. I am using Windows XP. I have Norton 360 on my computer as well as Registry Mechanic and Uniblue Registry Booster. Do you think reinstalling the program would solve the problem? I had uninstalled it because I kept getting low virtual memory alerts but I added memory and upped the virtual memory so that is no longer happening.

Hi
You could try reinstalling Spyware Doctor. You probably won't get the driver errors now.

I did reinstall and now no errors. I think the problem may have been because I uninstalled through the add/remove program and Spyware Doctor has its own uninstall program I see. My fault. Glad to have the errors gone though. Thanks for your help.

You may want to consider uninstalling Norton 360.

I am not sure about all that Norton 360 offers, but you should only have one online anti-spyware and one online anti-virus.

If more than one you will have conflicts.
