Latest Update Problem

I cannot update the latest Smart Updates. An error message reads" Error downloading one or more files. Please try again later." There appears to be only one Spyware Database Update that cannot be downloaded. I cannot uncheck that selection and try installing the other offered updates that have downloaded because if you check one, they all get checked i.e. you cannot choose. I am running Spyware Doctor + Antivirus 5.5.0.212. Is PC Tools aware of this issue or is this just an isolated incident?

I have the same problem at this moment in time - same version of SD but without the AV.
I presume this will be fixed soon?

Exactly the same problem here and same error message. Suggest everyone contact support so they sort this out :confused:

I have the exact same problem for a couple of days!

SD (5.5.0.212) has now auto-updated itself after 24+ hours of errors.

Now Computer Immunization is disabled. When click On Gaurd to enable it, it requires a download of latest updates by clicking Smart Updates. Clicking Smart Updates results in same error message as before.

Hi Im on Spyware Doc + AV 5.5.0.212
Glad to see im not alone, for 3 days i have had the same update error message, but both Immunisation and Onguard are showing as ON...at the moment.

The other thing going wrong is something to do with Email Protection which i have posted on forum seperately, wonder if they are connected??

The hangup seems to be either the completion of the downloading of Antivirus Database 100 - or the beginning of the download of Antivirus Database XML
The problem has persisted for 2 days.

My product version: 5.5.0.212
My database version: 5.09940

I sent Achen a Private Message this morning asking him to please read this thread about this issue that quite a few of us are having. I hope he can respond with a solution soon! Thanks to all of you who have expressed your concerns.
