Hi,
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.
I have just upgraded to the latest SpywareDoctor with antivirus as prompted by the application when I booted this morning and it reported a conflict with Windows Defender. I had to disable WD. I have therefore uninstalled WD since I cannot use it with this latest SpywareDoctor.
Have I acted correctly or should I have left WD? Any thoughts would be welcome, thank you.

Hi sylviesinc,
This is the correct place to post :)
What problems did you experience? Did you get an error message? What is you're OS? If so could you get a screenshot and post it to this thread and we'll look into this. SD+AV should run without any problems with WD.

You've done the right thing! I think windows defender doesn't do all that much and SD is far more superior in detecting malware and spyware. It's tip top :D

Thanks to you both. I am running WXP and I haven't downloaded sp3 yet. I upgraded to the new SD when prompted. From memory, I got an error box that told me that WD was also running and should not be. The question was asked "close WD, yes or no?" and I clicked "yes" From this I assumed that SD and WD could not run together so I uninstalled WD. Maybe I should just have turned it on again.
From the second reply, I gather that I won't have any problems if I don't reinstall WD and I am very happy with SD, so maybe I'll leave it at that.
Thanks again.:D

Why waste time with WD; WD doesn't even come close being proper AV; if any of you have SDAV installed then disable WD from startup.
Running multiple realtime protection is not recommanded.:D
