That's what I'm running right now, so I really hope the PC Tools products that I'm going to install will function with its full potential to take care of my system. ;)
There's both up- and downsides when you compare the two. Personally I'm currently testing KIS8, which has worked excellent most of the time, but also had a lot of weird things going on. - That's why I want to test what's here to see if it works better. The compability with some things can turn you down, like for me with my soundcard which features EAX effects and I've to test with certain workarounds in order to get it working in some old games for example, otherwise Vista handles most hardware and so on automatically. On the security side we have the new Security Center which is dramatically much better compared to XP *as long as the security software cooperates*. - Then it works very good. You can also switch to full administrator through administrative tools and still have the so-irritating UAC running full-time since it then won't alert on you on everything it bounces into, but still run which I'm sure gives you some additional protection. I would say the rest is up to your (security) software and the updates you receive for the OS and so on.
If you want to know something else, you can just ask specifically and I'll try to answer.
Hope that helps, cheers! :)

I wouldn't think so, or atleast not too much. Then again the best thing is if you tell me what you're gonna run on it in terms of software and your PC specs. ;)

Hi again! ;)
Some of the software is unknown to me, but I can't see any direct problems that should interfere with you running Vista (SP1). An advice would be to run this "Upgrade Advisor" from Microsoft if you haven't done so already; http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=42B5AC83-C24F-4863-A389-3FFC194924F8&displaylang=en. It should tell you any problems that it can directly find and will help you to choose what suits you best.
Just like you I hope that the PC Tools products will function to 100%.
Hope this helps! :)

Just to add to RavenMacDaddy's comments, I have Vista SP1 running on my laptop with PCTIS Beta and there don't appear to be any problems. However, I'm not a great fan of Vista as I find it slow moving and heavy and those constant interruptions from the UAC are really very annoying. I also have Adobe reader 8, CCleaner, Office 2007, Roboform, and full Nero Suite running. I personally prefer XP, though.

When XP is tweaked the way I want it - it works EXTREMELY good. Then for Vista, I don't feel I need to set up things before I can start doing the things I really want to do and not optimize and stuff. Also, if you've a good system like me, things most of the time works really fast, so that's nothing I've to worry about when I choose wether to use Vista or XP - it's other things.
If you look at one of my previous posts, you'll see that I've noted on a method to NOT get prompted by UAC *at all*, but still have it running in the background to protect you. Just ask me if you need a step by step guide. ;)
In general you can find all the information you need in my previous posts, or if you can't you can simply ask me again.
Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for all
Running the Vista advisor through the link you provided me it not found any problems to a vista migration
And i think sp1 solves a lot of incompatibility problems(or maybe not?)
So i think i will put this machine runing vista soon
Thank you

NP! ;) If you're wondering anything else or get troubles, just come back. :)
Vista SP1 had problems previously, *but that was only for very specific hardware*. Those problems that were are seriously supposed to be fixed since they should before it was released to consumers, so you shouldn't need to worry about that - ever. Looking at your specs. I think Vista SP1 is gonna run just great. :)
