Msn Messenger

Hi have just a quick question

I received a file from a friend (know File and know sender) via messenger and messenger come up with message where the file wasn’t scan from the antivirus because no antivirus was associate.
So my question is how can I set the SP+AV to be the antivirus which have to scan the incoming files?
when I try to do the association I point to the SP+AV folder in Program files but I not quite sure to which one I have to indicate to messenger.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

I think you have to set in the MSN Option what to do when you receive a file, scan it and what AV scanner you use.

If you only use MSN for messages and receiving files then take a look at Miranda IM (http://www.miranda-im.org/). It handles a number of IM systems, MSN, Yahoo ect., Works fine with SD+AV. It also has an auto receve file option, which allows you to receive files from folks on your contact list. Its smaller in harddisk space, and memory use than MSN / MSN Live. - its not for every one, but well worth a look. I tried it after it was recommended and have never gone back to MSN Live

Hi Steve
Thanks for info regarding Miranda but at the present I have to stick with Messenger.
I think I didn’t clarify enough my problem.
The problem is if I go to Messenger Options > file transfer and select the option “Scan files for Viruses using:” and I brows to SD+AV Folder in C:\Progream Files, which one of the executable file i have to select in the SD+AV folder?
I hope this clarify my question :)
Steve Thanks again :)

Try to select the file related to GUI app(something like "SDGUI"(I am not sure on this because i am using the suite) but my case this file launch the suite,so i think you must look a similar file.
Although I should say that i think it won't solve Your Problem because I think you intend to scan a SINGLE FILE and PCTISS and SD+Av doesn't have that feature until now
Hope this helps
