Same here. ;)
I hope the operation will be as seamless as SiteAdvisor with its automatic updates through FF's auto-updates, as well as the installation and simply an icon somewhere which together works by blocking any dangerous contents and sites.
If I come up with something else I'll post it here.
Cheers! :)

Browser Defender seems to work very well and at this point, i like it better than mcafee's. however, when i am on a site and click the status button on the program's toolbar, it should open another window instead of leaving the site that i am on, in order to provide the site details from pc tools. the origin site should stay open in the user's browser.

Just got round to installing latest version as I normally use only FF, but another member of the family uses IE7, so thought I'd give it a try. So far, excellent product - my only question is, where is the FF version???

OK Thanks. It's a good product - pity to restrict it to IE.

Will you actually release it for Opera as well? This would mean a lot to all the new Opera users incl. me with the release of v9.5 and FF's bugs in v3. It would also make you unique to other companies that release this kind of products.

At the moment, no :o but have added this as a feature request.
I like the look of the toolbar, It's a little thick though. Maybe reduce the on-screen real estate? As thin as the tabs would look decent.

That's a good idea - slightly slimmer.
What I really like is the changing colour. It's clear whether the site is bad or good. That green band is very helpful.
Agreed 100% on the usefulness of the full-width green bar. The visual impact easily beats McAfee SiteAdvisor, which on firefox you have to scan with your eyes to see it's small icon. Still, it would be none the less jarring, if you suddenly came across a red site, if the bar were slimmer. Maybe it's just my own sense of vanity, but it would look sweet along with the ColorfulTabs Add-on just a touch slimmer.

I seriously dislike this AddOn and find that it has a seriously detrimental effect on my browsing experience; Introducing a delay during the loading of EVERY page, and even causing the browser to become 'unresponsive' in the windows environment....
I have disabled it, but would like to know how to uninstall it, as the uninstall option seems to be greyed out. (Installed along with PCTools anti-virus software) Is it possible to uninstall the Firefox AddOn while keeping the anti-virus software installed?
My feed back in detail - i.e. Why this AddOn is so terrible.
I changed from AVG to PCTools recently, after which I found browsing using Firefox (3.6.3) to be slow and cumbersome.
Searches in Google had a new 'tick' field after a small delay - which I tracked down to being the Browser Defender AddOn.
The delay in Google searches was OK I guess, although I never actually found it useful - would I be right in suspecting that Google do their own housekeeping in terms of not wanting to present 'phishing' sites to their users?
Anyway, my main complaint, is the delay introduced during the loading of EVERY web page, which I found to be quite infuriating. I guess I must be very impatient(?), but I am so familiar with some web sites that I immediately know where I want to click on the loading page, and the delay seriously hampers quick navigation.
Add to this, the fact that the delay would often be long enough to actually cause the browser to fall in to an 'unresponsive' window status...
I want control of my PC, and my Windows; And when an AddOn causes a big delay during which I can not click any where in the window, or carry out any action what so ever, then this is a real pain. Especially when I have never seen any benefits after a couple of weeks of use (during which I became more and more impatient - not knowing initially that the delays and pauses were caused by this AddOn)
I have disabled this AddOn and am now enjoying freeze free browsing again - but for those who actually want it for some reason (?), then surely it could benefit from some kind of cache of regularly used and reliable sites?
Also, it should come with a bigger warning when installing PCTools, that the Browser Defender will have a serioulsy detrimental effect on your browsing experience.

When Browser Defender installed for the first time, it gave me critical error messages whenever I opened IE8. Pretty much, it forced me to close IE8 after opening one or two sites. I ended up downloading FF so I could Google what the problem was. Then I removed the program from my computer. I plan to download it again to see if a fresh installation will fix the problem, but original install went wrong.
Also, I wasn't expecting a new toolbar from PCTools, so a little more warning that PCTools, and not spyware, is installing something good onto my computer would be nice.
