Got new Computer and when it boots up, it shows small box on bottom right of screen, which is very annoying, as you have to click on it, to cancel it--
It says :`Windows has blocked some Startup Programs`--thought it was Defender, but unticked this for Startup--still same . ANY IDEAS PLEASE.

Vista will block some start up programs if there are compatibility issues with them on the Vista operating system. Make sure you have updated and installed all the Vista updates as many have been released that solve compatibility issues with many programs, (the one program that I had it blocking on start up has now been resolved through the updates). Also check with the vendors of all your software, especially older programs to see if there are any updates or patches available for them to make them Vista compatible.
