Is there any intention to make it such that file recover can recover .exe files?

Not at this stage, the reason being, most executable files require other files in their exact folder structure to run. There is no point of just recovering the one .exe file because most likeley it wont run. However, you can try search for .exe with 'All or part of the file name'.
