Hi Folks,
This problem is a recent development (wasn't happening a month ago). I use both FireFox and IE (IE for contractual reasons). When I launch IE, it starts normally. But, when I click on a web link, there's a short delay, then IE opens a blank web page. A moment later, an instance of FF opens and displays the link I clicked in IE.
FF is normally my default browser. If I change IE to my default browser, it doesn't open pages in FF. And FF opens only FF pages, even if IE is set to default.
I really need the old behavior back in IE - IE opening web pages in IE - regardless of the default browser (I use it for web-based diagnostics that are not compatible with FF).
This problem showed up in IE6 last week. I upgraded to IE7 today, same problem. No other recent changes to configuration. Ideas? A Windows update perhaps?
