View Full Version : SD 5.5.0.204 still does not behave on shutdown

Looks like the bug in SD remains unfixed.
I have had the application fail to shutdown and present a MS error report dialog box as well as a PC Tools error code 258. Consequently, a hard reset is required as the PC completely locks up.

I don't like doing a front panel reset as I have a RAID array fail in this way before.

Unless this bug is fixed and the application is able to be shutdown and restarted gracefully, I will be removing it from my computer for good.

I'm not very happy about this!

This has been escalated to the developers and will work on a fix.

Have you tried the Microsoft User Profile Hive Cleanup. This usually takes care of any shut down issues with any program.

I'm not logging off when this happens, so this tool will not help.
This occurred whilst logged in to my admin account and I selected the 'Shutdown' option from the system tray context menu.
The program then crashed and a MS 'send error' dialog box appeared followed by a PCTools application error and a total freezeup.

MUPHC is only applicable to faults when changing profile.
