Can't perform Smart Update using SD 5.5.0178 Starter Edition

Hello all,
Using Google Updater, I updated SD SE to version 5.5.0178, however since doing so, I'm unable to perform Smart Update, whenever I run the update I receive the following error:
"Update Failed.
Error downloading the list of updates. Please try again later."
Any ideas what might be causing this?

PS.
Previous version have no problem updating, I'm using SD SE as an on-demand scanner only, Immunization and On-Guard are disabled.

What other security software do you use? Have you added all the processes from Spyware Doctor to your firewall?

Suddenly after yet another restart, I was able to smart-update, weird as I did restart before trying for the first time.
Any way, topic can be locked as far as I'm concern :)
