Having recently trialed SP3 for XP, I find that Spyware doctor does not seem to be 100% compatible

issues include

1) regular freezing of IE7, explorer and other apps (including task manager)
2) "Kernel mode" is greyed out
3) Scanning getting stuck occasionally

Disabling Spyware doctor and the system works ok

As a result I have regressed out SP3, however ths does not bode well for when SP3 is released in a few months.

Hi
Please bear in mind the problems that happened when SP2 was released. It caused major problems for some time. I'm sure that PC Tools are probably looking into this (as well as Vista SP1) as they are major changes in Windows.

The thing is, some of the issues in SP3 are things that currently are reported by other users .... who have SP2.

I didnt have the issues reported here, until I put SP3 on.

Posting here at least shows PCTools someone is running SP3 and that there are issues with it

I dread to think the support calls once SP3 gets released and Spyware Doctor barfs at it
