The starter pack will remove spyware, but the signature database is limited compared to the full version and I don't think it expires :)

I can't find any info on how long a subscription for a payed version of Spyware Doctor will last? Is it 2 years?

Normally one year, but watch out for the 'Auto Renewal' trap. After registering, go into Your Account from PC Tools 'Home' and be sure Auto Renewal is not ticked off!
At next update the GUI will show 'remaining days:xxx' and not 'Active' If it keeps on showing Active be aware. Your credit card will be charged automatically WITHOUT proper warnings BEFORE the sub actually expires.

Hi Reodor,

Thanks for the warning, that's very handy to know.
If the starter edition detects spyware and removes it, then i'm having a problem. The SD detected this (http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x155/camifex/SDreport.jpg)
I clicked fix checked, aren't they quarantined and removed?
Rerunning detects them again and again, could it be DLL HELL with other AV and Spyware programs i have running?
(AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 / AntiVir PE Classic / Comodo Firewall Pro / Panda Antiroot Kit) Or just simply, i need to upgrade SD to 5.5?

Hi
They are all minor cookie infections, so nothing to worry about. But, they should all be quarantined/removed by Spyware Doctor.

Hi Matt,

The annoying thing is, SD detects them and says it removes them but running a second scan, they are still there. I could understand if i were visiting the same www.address but im disconnected. Could someone point me in the right dirrection to remove these minor threats please.

If using IE go to Control Panel, internet options,Browsing History and 'delete all'.
If in Firefox: go to Tools and 'Clear private data'.
Go into the SD GUI, 'Edit general settings, 'Quarantine' -mark all entries and delete them all.
