Hi
Vista 64bit is an entirely different type of programming to XP 64bit and the 32bit platforms. The main issue is the Microsoft Kernel Patch protection that prevents software from using kernel level drivers (which are implemented in most security programs). That would mean the Spyware Doctor would have to be totally redeveloped! That is going to take time I'm afraid, as the developers are not superhuman! Hopefully with the release of Vista SP1 later this quarter it may be easier to develop for 64bit.
Hope that helps

I'd love some Vista x64 support too.

Tons of other antimalware apps support it - Norton 2007 and 2008 come to mind even without the new API introduced in SP1. Apparently, it is possible for antimalware apps to work with Vista x64 RTM.

Hi
It is true that they can work with Vista. But they cannot use the traditional drivers because of patchguard. Spyware Doctor would have to be redesigned for x64. Hopefully Vista SP1 will make it easier/quicker.
