We have several very large complex DOS based applications at our site. They are written in DBaseIII and Fox Pro for DOS. Its not practical to re-write these in a more Windows 2000 firendly software due to enormous cost considerations. They run OK for the most part, but when we try to print they start to spool, then freeze the PC. Is there a soliution to this problem?? We run Windows 2000 Professional.

Perhaps a little late in reply, but just found the question. We also have excellent routines in DbaseIII+ but found that as the system date changed to 01/01/2001 our dbf files corrupted and were no longer recognized as dbf files. We found that the Y2K problem did not occur until 2001. We now change out system date to 2000 to be able to run our routines. It seems that Dbase handles the year 2000 as 1900 so is ok until until it tries to write 2001, then corrupts. We also found a small fix routine that changes the dbf date back to 1900 to fix a corrupted file. An answer to all this would to be to find someone that could recompile Dbase to handle 4 digit years above 2000. Please advise, did you ever find a solution.
