I have a problem with my outlook express. For all the incoming email with attachments, in the attachement column dosen't show anything like the file name and file format. I try to reinstall the IE, but it dosen't help. I want to know whether there is any way to remove the IE so that I can install in again.

Also, when I want to make an attachment to the outgoing email, it dosen't show anything on tht attachment column.

OK, so what your saying is even though you get an attachment you dont see the paperclip icon. Are you using outlook express 5.0

Well outlook express is installed when you install Internet explorer, or Microsoft office. So basically reinstall Internet explorer and see if that fixes the problem.

right-click on the header bar of the message list pane. from the pop-up menu choose "Columns" and check the "Size" entry, move the Size column to a position of your liking.

the Size column will always be that of the complete message, not only of the attachment.

if you are using the message preview pane, right-click on the paperclip icon to see info about the attachment.

else open the message and you have (below the subject) a line / field with all attachemnts represented by an icon with name and size.

Thank you for your post. What do you mean by the "Header bar if the messagelist pane"? I try to right-click all the header bar but none of the pop-up menu shows "columns"!

sorry if J have been unclear. Depending your options settings your OE window will display up to four panes, the messagelist will always be shown - you will mostly be displaying the Inbox there.
Above each column there is a header displaying text such as Received, Subject, From etc or icons for attachment or priority. Right-click any of these headers for the menu mentioned in my previous post (and not the title area displying the name of the current mailbox folder, such as Inbox).

Of course J forgot to mention the way using the menu bar:
choose View > Columns... and you get the same dialog as mentioned in the previous post.
